India
India is a great country and is my birth place as well as the place where I grew up, had wonderful professional education and spiritual enlightenment. I have seen GOD through the Vedic interpretations of astrology. Sage Bhrigu and Agasthya are awesome. My family has known our past, present and future through the forecasts of such sages. No where in the world can we find such collections.
India is great and I love my India. That is true. And, if I have to be re-born, I will tell GOD to send me back to India. But with some pre-conditions…. and which are: RE-ORGANIZE it.
1. Re-organize the Traffic system.
Traffic is very bad in India….. Honking, wrong overtaking, no check on blind spots, changing lanes without indicating-without the consent of the auto infront-leaving a very minimum space for the car behinf while returning to the same lane after the overtake…., no courtesy shown to the auto which is overtaken, NO YIELD SIGNS on the slip road…., lanes not marked for right turning at the intersection…., NO ALL STOP SIGNS…., LIGHT INTERSECTIONS AND ROUND ABOUTS are not managed by the police…., people are ignorant on the right of way. …, side mirrors are not used…., most of the taxis and private cars have fraudulent seat belts and the drivers use them in for fear of police and not the safety…., people tend to move ahead slowly and cross the stop line at red signals……., at the point of red light turning into green ( the time meter reaching 7,6,5…..) the light intersection becomes a mad house… for the all the autos start honking…, police does not put dividers to turn a single road to a dual carriage….., the heavy vehicles like cranes and trailers do not use hazard emergency lights on top to indicate their slow speed etc.
The most dangerous issue is -when there is a traffic blockage in front. The driver does not stop to wait for the clearance.Instead, he abruptly turns to the space available around to go ahead without realizing any vehicle coming behind in that lane or space.
You normally find 5-6 rows of vehicles at a light intersection where as it was a three lane road. there are no marked lanes for the right turn. Therefore on a right green signal, you find vehicles turning to the right side at random.
This is a very dangerous driving, carrying 20-30 passengers on the roof of the bus, thereby, overloading it. This particular bus is leaving Thanedhar-Kotgarh-Shimla township for a very mountaneous and single road route.
Driving on the corner of the lane. The lane concept is not practised at all.
Two cars overtaking the bus at the same time. Pillion rider is not wearing the helmet.
The maintenance vehicle working on the opposite road is blocking the high speed lane of that road. THE HAZARD LIGHT ON TOP OF THE VEHICLE IS NOT SWITCHED ON.
The right turn arrow is marked atthe road just close to the turning, thereby not giving enough time for the driver to decide. Tha right turn lane is very small.
This is the masked Traffic Polie constable manning the traffic.
Driving acroos the yellow line is coomon. most of the dual roads are not even marked with yellow line.
A carrier with extended load is without any red flag at the end. THE HAZARD LIGHT IS NOT TURNED ON.
Driving over the lane and switching the lane without using indicators is a routine thing in India.
People are accustomed to park the cars at their convenience at the PARKING AREAS.
The Zebra marks on the other side of the road are missing. Pedestrians are not shown due courtesy on the roads.
Lane marking on the road are missing. No warning is given for the broader median infront. Also no arrow mark is given for the RIGHT TURN.
HYGIENE
USING GLOVES FOR PACKING SWEETS AND SAMOSAS IS A RARE PHENOMENON. This shop also uses gloves on demand.
